I think the big ones for me are Season 2s of Gundam Thunderbolt (high production values + jazz), Boku no Hero Academia (SMASHHHHUHHHH), Attack on Titan (have the badass intro song of the first half of Season 1 complete with amazing lyrics translated) and Season 3 of Berserk.
Also marked down a bunch of others, but I might just spray-and-pray and hope to find a few that catch my interest rather than plan it out. Clockwork Planet and Sagrada Reset sound like the most interesting of the rest, but I think this is the first season in awhile where I either haven't had a slice of life I was jazzed about or haven't had one that was continuing from the previous season, so I probs need one or two of those more than anything (maybe Hinako Note or Alice no Zouroku or I dunno, hopefully something)

Re: Spring 2017 Anime Chart
I'm probably just going to watch Berserk and maybe Attack on Titan if I catch up. Sagrada Reset could be interesting, but doesn't grab me enough to start off with unless I hear something good.

Uchouten Kazoku was fantastic. The sequel is probably going to be great too.

Re: Spring 2017 Anime Chart
This is a bit of a rough season.
Last season, there wasn't any top-tier big-event anime, the really popular stuff that a lot of people watch, but a ton of solid second-tier anime, quality stuff that if you like the premise or the genre, its' a good example of (Dragon Maid, March Lion, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Onihei, Kuzu no Honkai, Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans, and I'm probably even forgetting a few).
This season there's Berserk, Attack on Titan, Boku no Hero Academia (or as I like to call, it Boogie Hero) annnnnnd a struggle to find something that feels second-tier. Even something like Sagrada Reset, which has all the outer-trappings of a solid second-tier anime, is missing a little something (all the characters are very robotic).
Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Beats Boys probably gave me the biggest smile, it's only 8 minutes long and how the ending twist done was just hilariously awesome. There's a few others that are okay but maybe on the bubble.

Re: Spring 2017 Anime Chart
Up to episode 5 of Tsuki Ga Kirei. It's about two shy middle-schoolers awkwardly summoning up the courage to do anything with each other. It's adorable as fuck. It makes you wish you can live in anime Japan. Even the phrase "Tsuki ga Kirei" itself is a famous line in Japan. It directly translates to "The Moon is beautiful" but it's used as an indirect and classy way to say "I love you."
Just look at this fucking outro.
Only one of them half-recs because there's no brutal violence or mental health issues or drama like what seems popular around these parts, it's really just a chill, springtime of youth about shy people that makes your kokoro do this

When I noticed their hands were slowly reaching out to each other as the moon was forming in the sky

Re: Spring 2017 Anime Chart
So, has anyone ever watched an anime that they knew was just absolute trash but ended up loving it more and more as it went on?
Busou Shoujo Machiavellianism/Armed Girls Machiavellianism is that for me.
It's about an all-girls school that was forced to go co-ed, but the girls were so freaked out by all these stinky boys mucking things up that they armed themselves. Every girl has a baton, the "leader" girls have katanas, the boys are forced to cross-dress and act like women in order to maintain the pre-existing peace and order of an all-girls school. And then teenage Spike Spiegel shows up, fights everyone and does whatever he wants and their careful order goes to complete hell.
An example, my favourite fight-scene from the series

- Spoiler:
The main character, wanting to get permission stamps to leave the campus from each of the leader girls, is confronted by one of them in the bath-house. She is completely naked, with her samurai sword, with a flash-drive hanging off of a necklace around her neck holding copies of incriminating staged photos they took of him to try and throw a wrench into the alliances he's been making. And to top it off, her character is described as "almost human", like an alien who studied humanity and knows how to outwardly act, but is missing the core of it.
The part that got me: Her being naked isn't just gratuitous anime shit, it's actually a strategy
He can't look down at her body to follow her movements, because he'll bone up and it'll screw up his fighting maneuverability. Watching her face is useless because her eyes don't follow her fighting movements at all. She's dicing him up as he's trying to figure out how to fight her.
"This is so stupid and I love it"
