Having no "physical chemistry" Empty Having no "physical chemistry"

Post by azazel on Mon Nov 17, 2014 9:45 am

I had my first date yesterday, and although we got along pretty good there didn't seem to be any real attraction.

Sooo... what's a good way to friendzone someone?

I wanted to send something like "Hey! Had a great time yesterday! If I'm completely honest though, I felt we matched more friendly than romantically. You want to hang out some other time as friends?", do you guys have any advice how to improve it?

Uh, no, that is perfect. I am in the process of doing the same with someone I'm seeing on-and-off and that's more or less the script I'm going to use.

Also, glad the first date went well! I think it's actually really good to have a first date with no real spark, because it makes you realise for next time that a first date is actually pretty low stakes, rather than My One And Only Chance At Love And Happiness™.

The deed is done.

She was rather cool with it too!

My lifetimestats are now:

Girls asked out and getting friendzoned in the process: 3
Girls friendzoned myself: 3
Propositioned for NSA sex by men: 2

I think I'm losing my ruggedly good looks though, it's been a while since a stranger asked me to follow him to his apartment around 1:00 AM.

Glad to hear both the date and the rejection went reasonably well! (I generally tend to count dates as successful if they're reasonably enjoyable and help me make a decision about whether I want to get to know the person better - it makes evaluating first dates much more pleasant.)

LOL, the gold standard of handsomeness.

Clearly, otherwise I'd have to face the fact that it's probably my lack of manly secondary sex characteristics that paints me as a target for rather creepy cold approaches, and we can't have that can we? Razz
