Long-lasting Mystery Headaches [Advice]
I'm very prone to headaches and migraines. I have been since the onset of puberty, 10 years ago. I have all sorts of headaches with all sorts of triggers. Heat headaches, stress headache, migraines that develop from normal headaches, etc.
In the past 1.5-2 years I've been getting these mysterious headaches that last for 2-3 days. They seemingly have no trigger, I just wake up with them. Nothing but time makes them go away, medication only dulls the pain a bit so I've stopped taking it for these headaches. They feel different from my migraines and heat/stress headaches. They're always in the same place, above my left eye. I get them once or twice a month, but not a reliable time each month, so I don't think they're period related. It's gotten so frequent and draining that it's killing my quality of life.
I've mentioned this to 2 doctors since they started, but both said that it's probably lifestyle related, but didn't give any concrete advice. I don't think my lifestyle is that bad. My blood work always comes back as average. I eat healthily (fruits, veggies, rarely eat red meat). I drink lots of water. I avoid all the headache triggers that I know of.
I really just don't know what to do at this point. Any one else have these headaches? Any advice on what to say to my doctor to make them care? Any advice on lifestyle changes?

Could be lots of things: bad posture, poor lighting, vision problems, weather, sinus infection, absorbed fetal twin, etc. You're the only one who can answer it. Might help to start regularly logging your status when it starts up.

I am not a doctor, but I would definitely see if you can get a third opinion, maybe some imaging scans (if your insurance will cover it, I don't know where you live/your medical situation).

As someone with similar problems, my first thoughts for the "someone's drilling above my eye" headaches are dehydration and sinuses. Drink water before bed, run the humidifer if you have one and try antihistamines. See if any of that helps. I used to get them when I was working for a messenger service in NYC, which was a combination of both of the above.

That sounds like sinuses to me too. I second GJ's recommendations.
