Bicycle helmet. The skull is molded thermoplastic and foam. The teeth and spiky bits are painted palm fronds. We had to saw the ones on the front arms down to fit into the door. If you're anywhere in range of SoCal, you should check out Labyrinth of Jareth. Its what we made that one for and your fairy costume would go over great.

Wow, looks good. I'm in the Midwest, so not so likely.

Ooh, HSavinien, I'm excited to see your Librarian when it's finished, I loved that series!

Yeah! I'm still in very early planning stages, like, list of costume pieces required is "Sword, red tunic, blond wig/hair dye, ???". I have a sword...

That would make you a second assistant librarian then, I think? If you're looking for more details to add there's always the bracelet and dagger and clockwork mouse Smile Sounds very cool!

Yeah. It's going to take a reread before I decide what all pieces I need for sure. Little vague on what I'll do for the mouse. I may just take along the clockwork singing bird I constructed for my steampunk getup a few years ago (through creative use of a small handwound music box).
