Replacing Buttons Empty Replacing Buttons

Post by eselle28 Sat Feb 28, 2015 6:01 am

Uh, yeah, this is probably the most mundane question in the world. I have a very pretty coat that people always compliment me on and that's also only a year old. It has a...I don't know fashion terms, but it's a little fake belt across the back of the coat at waist level, with a button on either side of it. Apparently at some point in the last few days, I snagged the back on something and a button fell off. It's not in my house or my car, and the replacement button sewn inside is a navy blue one that matches other buttons on the coat but not the missing one, which is black and slightly larger. I looked at the remaining back button, and unfortunately, it says "Guess" on it.

So, tl;dr, are there places to buy buttons with brand names on them? If not, it's easy enough to remove the remaining button and replace it with a plain one, but I thought it might be worth asking. I don't much like sewing buttons, and one is better than two. Neutral

Maybe for the moment replace it with a plain one and then look through the second-hand shops?  I've found a fair amount of Guess clothing there.

Because all you'd need would be the buttons off the garment -- it wouldn't matter what condition it was in.

Secondhand shops aren't a realistic option, but I cruised ebay for awhile and didn't find anything that looks like it could work. I'll just be getting a pair of new ones - it's not the most noticeable spot on the coat, so it should be fine. Thanks, guys.
