I really want a crack at that technology. That hologram does all of her own vocals. Let me stick a new 3D model over the skeleton and I'll have a singing, dancing virtual cast member!

This game looks great. I definitely want it if it makes you ask the really deep questions, such as "How do spiders limp?"

Steven Universe continues to blow me away with it's nuanced characters, deliberately paced world building and fantastic music and animation. It's one of the absolute best shows on TV right now and every episode makes me want to see more.

Re: Entertainment Joys
Future Islands is one of the best live acts I've ever seen and they just keep getting better. The morning after one of their shows I feel all emptied out from dancing and pure forget-everything visceral joy.
I saw the singer (aka Most Charismatic Human Currently Living) outside the venue beforehand and offered him a joint. He turned me down, but was real nice and we talked a minute. Not stoked about just how nervous and unsmooth I was, but at the very least I don't think I made his night any worse (any frontman hanging around outside the venue must not object to even unsmooth people telling him he's great and then leaving him alone, right?) and now I've got Sam Herring's friendly handshake in my memory banks. Neat.

Blading in pro wrestling has become something that's mostly gross, but Hiroshi Tanahashi got busted open hardway (a term that means "for real/not planned") during the New Japan main event tonight and it added to the match

So within the span of like three days, superhero TV had
This guy come back
and
This gorilla finally show his face
and
This guy blow the goddamn roof off of the place
What in the absolute FUCK did we do to deserve such a wonderful week?

I just watched all of Wander over Yonder AND the new Gravity Falls episode If you are a lover of cartoons, the former is made by Craig McCracken (Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home) and the latter by Alex Hirsch. Ermergerd Also, thirding (fourthing?) the Steven Universe folks! Gosh I want that backstory so bad
Also, I am playing the remastered Grim Fandango, and sitting on the edge of my seat to finish The Wolf Among Us

I'm a fan a kung fu choreography group known as Thousand Pounds Action Company.
They have worked with some big names in gaming bringing popular animated content in a live action setting.
Their previous work was the baddassery that was Naruto Dreamers: Rock Lee vs Naruto

This is their latest release also set in the Naruto universe.

I'm reading Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey, and it is sooooo good. I'm about 300 pages in after about a day of reading, because every time I put it down, I have to pick it up again and read just a little more.

Parks and Rec is over, and I don't know if it should be a joy because it ended well or a rant because I don't want it to be over!

So, I did something I never thought I would do and actually sat down to watch the first episode of Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai. It initially struck me as one of those moeblob vehicles, and it kind of is, but it's actually funny. Not to mention absolutely gorgeous. Might give all 12 episodes a fair crack.

I fell behind on Constantine and just cleaning up with the last few episodes.
Most of the magical mysteries aren't too great, but the show has a lottttt of heart hidden behind it. Episode 12 in particular was a really good "magic has its consequences" episode.

I'm sad myself. I loved the heck out of that show.

Yepppp. Gonna be four episodes, but I'm not sure they're going to do too much 1YW stuff as much as just show Char and Sayla

Re: Entertainment Joys
So me and a few people I know are doing a "RIP Ultimate Marvel Universe" binge-read of the line before it finally comes to an end. I stopped sometime before Ultimatum/the first relaunch, so some of it will be new.
Ultimate Spider-Man is really good and Ultimate X-Men have their moments, but I just hit the sweet spot. Ultimate Spider-Man in the 70s with the Hobgoblin thing and Mary Jane being way too awesome of a person (Brian Michael Bendis is in my pantheon of worshippable creators, even if he did that thing to Gwen), Millar on Ultimate Fantastic Four somehow pulling it off even though it's realllllly hard to like his characters (he weaves great plots as long as you don't need to emotionally connect to them) and doing some classic stuff like Marvel Zombies and Namor, and Brian K Vaughan doing a decent Ultimate X-Men with Sinister and Gambit and things like that.
It's soul-on-fire good, and I know it's not going to last long because I have read past this point before, but god damnnnnnnnnn.

Pillars of Eternity is out, and time has decided to warp itself to make 5:00 come so much slower than it otherwise would.

It was! I didn't have any particular expectations, especially since movies in the early part of the year often aren't that good, but Colin Firth as an action hero is absolutely hilarious and I thought the self-aware, meta, we're-in-a-spy-movie stuff ended up making it feel fresher than a lot of similar movies.

Yes!
That action scene in the church was amazing, I can only imagine how much choreography went into that. Also, did you catch Mark Hamill as the professor? I totally missed that.

Yeah that seen was pretty mindblowing. I had no idea that was Hamill. I'm sure I'll end up rewatching it on DVD at some point, and I'll have to keep an eye out then.
