[mod] Wow, that is a very unfortunate spelling! I did put the post behind a spoiler tag, in case people might read this thread at work or just aren't in the right mental space to read that particular typo. [/mod]

I don't know what's worse the mistake/misspelling or the memes that spawned from it.

Thank you for doing that - that thought admittedly didn't occur to me.

Add another reason why we need copy editors. This is from a paper in the Dominican Republic; that's supposed to be a picture of Donald Trump and a picture of Benjamin Netanyahu.

You know, I think they could have used a better picture...

Possibly NSFW:

Unless they're dog-whistling and they meant it while still being able to claim plausible deniability.

A "K" represents a strikeout in baseball.

There's nothing sinister about it, it's just got bad optics if you don't know baseball silent

I'd argue that three Ks together is sinister or inexcusably oblivious anywhere in America. 2 Ks, no, 4 Ks, no. But 3 Ks? Yes.

My point wasn't that the fans* were dog-whistling. It was that whoever's in charge of the Diamondbacks Twitter account may be.

*Middle guy's K is upside down. Did anyone else notice that? Grin

A note to the news media. There's a big difference between Aaron Hernandez being found hanged in his cell and Aaron Hernandez being found hung in his cell.

You know, that's so weird. The verb "hanged" is changing to "hung" in common speech, but usually, it's the weak verb form (in English, that's verbs that end in -ed) that takes over the strong. Like how "pled" is changing to "pleaded," "dove" to "dived," and "shone" to "shined."
