Oops, forgot about this. So this is weird, went to the site (through my history, so I know it's not just a different page than I wentto before), the server I'd used last time wasn't working, different server got me the right scene at 22.06, I haven't seen this episode at all. Sooo, best guess, I think the site may have accidentally had E13 on the 12 page, and the story was a bit of skip but not so much I couldn't believe it was just a somewhat confusing episode rather than that I'd missed one, and there were enough common threads that half the comments you'd made on 12 made sense for 13. 0_o I'm astonished that the problem doesn't seem like it was me!

It didn't really spoil me, I was just reading it and was like "HRM this doesn't sound like the episode I watched <.<"

I was hoping to get to it this week, but I'm not sure that's realistic, so maybe yeah, take it off your schedule.

The real E12 this time
That was a hell of an episode!
Spoilers for E12 and 13
- Spoiler:
-sometimes Aiko seems like a different person...Clair?
-Though, seeing more of her, I don't think she is Clair, her hair is darker and she just doesn't seem like her
-Honoka got bullied and disappeared. Killed herself? Or just went off-grid to hang out with the alien?
-Aiko completely ignoring the mood and cheerfully suggesting karaoke, that does kind of seem like something's wrong with her, in a Clair-like way
-people in anime always have such shitty distant relatives who take them in
-Aiko's been going to the alien...oh fuck, Honoka used her coin to become Aiko to escape her own life, didn't she??!
-Kaito leaps pretty quickly to Honoka killed Aiko, but everyone still wants to pretend everything's normal rather than risk anything, what the hell?? Something's gotta be wrong there, surely they'd do something otherwise, they can't be such shitty friends.
-that cram school sure got run down in a few years
-oh shit, it's Aiko's grave, I was assuming Honoka just kind of displaced Aiko's existence and didn't think too much about what that meant for Aiko, rather than physically killing her and burying her corpse, this is way more fucked up.
-and she doesn't even fight back, just reaches for his face
-confirmed Clair isn't anyone else, I guess
-oh shit, Aiko killed herself, he just murdered Honoka for nothing!!
-It wasn't even Honoka who was being bullied originally, she was just taking on Aiko's history to have a reason for Honoka to have disappeared so she could keep Aiko existing through her instead b/c no one will miss the real Honoka
-Alien misses Honoka
-Everyone else knew, that's why they didn't want to change anything, at least that means they weren't just shitty friends
I assume it's not the show omnisciently telling us they didn't care about Honoka disappearing as long as it meant Aiko didn't die, it's just Kaito's perception, b/c that'd be a weird official interpretation, since Honoka was still herself on the inside, they could have just been seeing it as making the best of an awful situation, a way to keep both Aiko and Honoka at least a little bit
-"You can all disappear," his face is so fucking creepy
-Glowing girl just wants someone to recognize that she was Honoka, not Aiko (or rather, Kaito does)
-oho, Clair found the mascot plushy in the cram school!
That was a hell of an episode!

Well, this all makes a whole lot more sense with 12 before 13, no need for all the weird theories I came up with to try and understand it. Shuichi can't be disappeared by Glowy Girl for mistaking her for Aiko if he doesn't remember who either Honoka or Aiko is. We still have no idea how the parents' deaths connect to all this, though, and it seems like there's more to Elena erasing Shuichi's memory than just protecting him from Glowy Girl. The whole "people replacing other people" thing makes me wonder if there's some kind of mindfuck about the two sets of parents, if Shuichi thought he was killing Elena/Clair's parents but it was his own or vice versa. But we really just don't know enough about either parents to make much in the way of theories, it just seems like it needs to have a tie-in to the whole friend group tragedy, rather than they unrelatedly decided/were forced to kill their parents, that's a lot of murders for one friend group!

Yeah, it really seems like it's going somewhere at this point, it'd be a shame to not get there.
