i was not told i was being given up on, but the statement "i don't know what else to do with you" was uttered in the midst of this same conversation. i think the issue that emerges is that therapists assume that improvement is tangible and permanent, whereas for me it's just a bunch of crazy zig-zags. i need a queer-friendly trauma specialist or some shit who doesn't get uncomfortable when i talk about very awful intrusive thoughts or whatever. but i probably can't afford that person, just the interns lol

I think most improvement is in zig-zags. But sounds like she didn't have the skillset you need for next steps, at any rate. Are there any local LGBTQ+ organizations that might be able to hook you up with free or low-cost therapy? That's a thing some orgs do do. Or at least have a directory of queer-friendly therapists.

i have no idea what options are affordable. i wish this shit was affordable.

Check with any queer orgs in your area, they often have free options, though usually with long waiting lists IME.
