Erotica written by women
So I have to admit I have absolutely no idea about what women might fantasize about. The only thing that I've come closest with reading about something similar, is Twilight (the whole boring, average girl meets awesome guy fantasy). Does anyone know where can I access this form of literature?
Ahem, for research purposes of course

Most fanfics in which two characters have sex qualify.

If you're into anything BSDM-ish, can I recommend "The Boss" by Abigail Barnette? It was written as a response to 50 Shades, and is awesome.

Violet Blue puts out "Best Womens Erotica" anthologies every year. One of those might be a good place to sample many different styles and writers.

Yeah, if you want to wander over to AO3, choose a fandom of choice (might want to pick something you're not too invested in) and select "explicit" under ratings in the right hand side bar, you'll end up with a variety of written (and some spoken or drawn) erotica.Lemminkainen wrote:Most fanfics in which two characters have sex qualify.
Disclaimer: kinks on display don't necessarily reflect the fantasies of all (or even any) women, fic does often focus on homosexual men, writing quality is variable, only valid at participating locations, use responsibly etc. etc.
Otherwise there's a site here which reviews romance novels (including erotica) and lists some ebook sales. The stories described are usually heterosexual. Even if you don't find what you're looking for, on the left side bar there's an option for reviews by grade and the 'F' or 'DNF' ratings are usually pretty entertaining. I don't really like romance novels and wouldn't necessarily say they contain things that woman fantasize about, but I am only one data point and you may want to investigate this avenue of research just in case.
I think ohjoysextoy also covered erotica in comic form at one point if that's more relevant to your interests. Here is one option, but I think there may be others?
Good luck with your studies

Re: Erotica written by women
If you're looking for freebies, literotica.com has stories by authors of varying gender (but leaning fairly heavily female - you can often tell by the writer's name, often by the gender of the protagonist, and usually by who gets more vivid descriptions). Quality and content vary widely, and I generally need to poke around a bit before I find something of interest, but it shows a reasonably wide range of interests. The boring, average girl meets awesome guy motif will be something you'll run into because that's a very common element of many people's fantasies, but I suspect you'll find other things too!

Filthy Figments is a comic-based erotica and porn thing, by women artists. Might be worth taking a look at some of their stuff.
