MOD
Basebuzzed, discuss these links in the context if the current Chan culture discussion. "Drive by" links with no input from the poster in a half dead thread looks a lot like shit stirring. I am sure you have thoughts on them, yes?

Re: Gamergate: Born of Chan-Style
Ah, apologies. I figured that if people wanted a look at how the chan culture organization takes place, both IRCs should be next to each other, and see how they each respond differently to outside events. The way they're both set up is exactly like Marblecake was during Chanology. Not so much hush-hush as just generally less well know and only frequented by 'prominent' members, giving it the notion of a secret cabal to anyone looking on it from the outside: https://books.google.nl/books?id=ucE1AAAAQBAJ&pg=PT63&lpg=PT63&dq=chanology+marblecake&source=bl&ots=x1CGBSXgG6&sig=J6UP8OTUA_1BpS-VMv9rLwfX1c&hl=nl&sa=X&ei=59aeVMLZNYm7UbuOhKAL&ved=0CDwQ6AEwAw#v=onepage&q=chanology%20marblecake&f=false

And here's some survey data on political attitudes of the movement, as polled on KiA. It heavily reeks of the chan-style salon libertarian: http://gamepolitics.com/2014/12/29/editorial-gamergate-political-attitudes-part-1-movement-right-wing#.VKGokF4D1A
