I just had one of those cartoonish "no more x+y before bed" dreams. It seems forum roleplay plus gay porn plus checking this site just gave me a bizarre dream in which someone (¿Glides?) posted here about how they ended up roleplaying a gay sexual encounter after saving someone's bacon in an MMO they were trying.

The wildfire smoke's reached Ontario. We're even more not even on fire than BC, as well as being half a continent further east! It's more of a haze than a fog, but still, I don't think that's ever happened before.

Ontario government actually acknowledged that they haven't been giving Toronto a proportional share of vaccines for Phase 1, now I'm not sure if I should feel mad that they expectedly were shortchanging us or happy that for once they had to back down on it. Though, we'll see if they actually come through with the extra vaccines.

monkeypox can kiss my ass. i don't have it, i just have one more disease i'm afraid of catching. according to the CDC, because i don't fuck cis men i must be magically immune to it. this is intended as sarcasm. but i am very afraid because i'm not stupid enough to believe them but just stupid enough to be scared of everything anyway.

I mean, if it helps, it does seem like it requires pretty close contact, even based on sources that are actually discussing the fact that it doesn't require sexual contact and the possibility that it could be airborne. There's not much that you could do that's not high-risk for Covid that is for Monkeypox, so given the precautions you're already taking, it doesn't seem like you need to be devoting that much worry to at this point.

I have to take a work trip to Philadelphia in a couple weeks so I'm most nervous about getting it from the bedding in the room. I'm considering just bringing a thick sheet in a separate suitcase, throwing it on top of the entire bed and sleeping on that. I don't even know. If I make it through that then I am most likely at a lower risk than some. I'm not that worried about airborne risk since it spreads through saliva so as long as you wear a mask, you're almost perfectly protected that way. I just have to work on not touching my face so much and wiping things down a lot, those are going to be the toughies.
