Educator as well. I suppose it shouldn't be surprising that many of us who come to a blog for advice and support would fit this!

Re: Interesting personality tests
This is an interesting one: you rate yourself on various traits, and it tells you where on Earth you'd best fit in culturally, based on how people self-assess there. http://personalityatlas.com

The US is all alone as Techistan on their map.

I should go to Australia (oh god no the spiders), in Balancia, which Canada is also part of, so I'm doing pretty well (and plus only a small percentage of the wildlife wants me dead )!
That said, I have no idea why I got it, because:

has very little resemblance to what I said. I gave my welcomingness as a 2! I said I was no fun at parties!People in Australia describe themselves as humorous, fun and heroic, in addition to being welcoming, balanced and a real leader.

Re: Interesting personality tests
I honestly don't know what some of these questions are getting at. Would people follow me out of a burning building? I don't know, what makes someone the kind of person that people would follow out of a burning building?
Apparently Canada is one of the countries it highlighted as one I don't fit with, so sorry Enail!People in the Czech Republic describe themselves as a bit stubborn and scheming, but also see themselves as consistent and reliable, with a bit of humor, as well. You share a similar profile.

Re: Interesting personality tests
Yeah, that one stumped me a little too. I assumed they meant something like "do you look like you know what you're doing?/do you inspire trust in your judgment?" (So what do you put the slider at for "people would probably follow me out until I tripped on my shoelaces and fell face-first down the fire escape"?)Robjection wrote:I honestly don't know what some of these questions are getting at. Singapore, in Uniformany
Why?
People in Singapore describe themselves as hardworking, disciplined, successful, consistent and tech-savvy. You share a similar profile.
Wut?
I dislike quizzes like these. Would you jump into shark-infested waters to save someone, do people tell you their secrets, are you fun to be around, are your ideas interesting? Yes, mega yes for my husband and daughter. No for everyone else.
People have followed me out of a building that (we thought) was burning, though. So I know the answer to this one.

Yeah, they might as well ask "If you were in the middle of a street and had to battle three grizzly bears whilst juggling two chainsaws, what kind of food would you eat?"

Re: Interesting personality tests
I did this one a little while ago, I didn't recognize the majority of characters it gave me, the first one I recognized (River from Firefly) was like #12 on the list and I have no idea how they got that one... And the next one I recognized was Garak from DS9
This was one of those ones where I found a lot of the questions were kind of meaningless or overly general, or they were things that no one uses to describe themselves, like "ludicrous." I had heard this one was really good, but I was pretty disappointed it.

Re: Interesting personality tests
Mine hit awfully close to home and were damning as hell. #1: John Hammond (Jurassic Park). #2: Jay Gatsby. #3: Effie Trinket (the TV host lady from Hunger Games). So basically, “you’re a charming but ruthlessly ambitious snob whose hubris will destroy everything and everyone around you and then you, yourself.”
OF COURSE YOU DID

I got Amy from Big Bang Theory!
It seems somewhat appropiate.

I don't think Amy Poehler was in Big Bang Theory. I think there's someone else named Amy, though, maybe it's her?

The Amy from Big Bang Theory is called Amy Farrah Fowler.
Anyway, I did this test, didn't actually understand what a few of the questions were asking, and in the end the first 19 characters are ones I don't recognise and number 20 is Milhouse if you use Pearson correlation or Smithers if you use mean difference.
The only thing I can really take from this test is that I may need to watch Westworld at some point.
