I've been on an interactive novel kick all weekend. So far, the one that's made me smile the most (in a fairly wry way) is Choice of the Deathless. It's more or less about what it might be like to work at a different' creator's version of Wolfram & Hart. Very well-written (apparently it's by Max Gladstone, who I've been meaning to get around to reading) and almost a little too good at its portrayal of working at a law firm. I swear a couple of the characters were based on my former coworkers.

High Maintenance is really good so far, but it was episode 3 that had me laugh-crying and kinda regular-crying. Why are more comedy episodes not filmed from the perspective of dogs?

Some random anime things:

- The 4th OVA of Gundam The Origin came out. It was kind of disappointing, not much happened in it because The Origin has gotten so close to the where the original series begins that there wasn't much they could do... but then they announced two more episodes that will focus on the Battle of the Loum and my body isn't ready enough for it Shiny/thrilled

- Mahou Shojou Ikkusei Keikaku/Magical Girl Raising Project is really unsettling. Kind of Madoka meets Hunger Games.

- Occultic;Nine does this really cool thing with it's outro where the song doesn't end but the last 20 seconds of the visuals seamlessly transitions into the preview for the next episode

- Also, speaking of Occultic;Nine, the fucking big twist of the season, halfway through, the main characters who've been investigating a murder and a bizarre mass suicide of 256 people at a local lake...

They were formed after the unfortunate passing of Ian Curtis and I discovered New Order after listening to my Flock of Seagulls station on Pandora. Razz

But yes, i definitely have enjoyed what I heard from both bands. Unknown Pleasures in particular.

Now I need to listen to more Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream. ;D
